The official vote counts from the Iowa caucus were released Thursday showing Rick Santorum actually coming out ahead by 34 votes, thus winning, over Mitt Romney.

It is reported that results from eight precincts were missing from the official tally, giving Santorum 29,839 votes over Romney’s 29,805. GOP officials in Iowa also revealed that there were inaccuracies in 131 precincts.

The news comes just days before the South Carolina primary vote and fuels social conservatives even more to push for undecided voters to vote for either Santorum or Newt Gingrich.
